Clarence Matthews joins Estudiantes Concordia

Clarence Matthews (201 cm, Tennessee State’07) has penned a deal with Estudiantes Concordia from Argentina’a LigaA for the 2013-14 season. Matthews is an American player who also holds a Venezuelan passport. He coming off a brief stint playing for Uniceub/BRB/Brasilia (Brazil-NBB) in the Liga Sudamericana. In five games he averaged 3.2 ppg and 1.6 rpg.

In 2012-13 he played for Centauros de Apure (Venezuela-LNB). In three games for them in the Liga Sudamericana he posted averages of 19.7 ppg and 7.0 rpg. He later moved to Marinos de Anzoategui (Venezuela-LPB) and there he averaged 10.0 ppg and 5.7 rpg in 29 games.
