(TORONTO, ON) The National Basketball League of Canada is pleased to announce that Chris Commons of the Windsor Express has been named the Recharge with Milk Player of the Week for the week ending December 30, 2012.  This is the second time a Windsor player has earned this award; Commons joins Darren Duncan as previous Express players to earn this honour.

Commons, a 6’8” forward who played his collegiate ball at South Carolina-Aiken, was instrumental in Windsor’s two victories in three games this week.  On Friday night against the Oshawa Power, Commons scored 19 points off the bench.  He also added another 16 points against the London Lightning on Saturday, and then scored 26 points in 43 minutes of play in Windsor’s 108-102 victory over the Lightning on Sunday afternoon.
