Chad Toppert to play with Artland

Chad Toppert (201 cm, New Mexico’09) is on his way to Germany after inking a deal that will see him play with Artland Dragons (BBL) next season. The guard will link up with the current German Cup holders for the 2013/2014 season after playing this campaign with CAI Zaragoza in the Spanish ACB. The American/German featured 40 times for Zaragoza throughout the season but picked up disappointing averages of 3.6ppg and 1.8rpg.

It had been the third season the Chad Toppert had played in the ACB with Zaragoza but the 27-year old will now head to Germany for a fresh challenge. Artland Dragon head coach Tyron McCoy welcomed Toppert to the club.

“He is an excellent three point shooter and a hard worker that always wants to get better. He also has a good character. He played for a very good team in the ACB and therefore knows what it takes to be successful.”
