Cedric Simmons added by Olympiacos

Cedric Simmons (206 cm, North Carolina State’06) has been signed to a three-year deal by Olympiacos S.F.P. Pireus from Greece (A1). Simmons, who has dual American and Bulgarian citizenship, is expected to bolster their front court coming into the 2013-14 season. His dual citizenship gained him membership in the Bulgarian National Team in 2011 and 2012.

Simmons spent the 2012-13 season playing for Enel Brindisi from Italy’s SerieA. The former NBA forward averaged 9.4 ppg and 6.6 rpg in 30 games in the Italian league. In 2011-12 Simmons played for Asefa Estudiantes Madrid from Spain (ACB). There he played 30 games and averaged 5.7 ppg and 3.9 rpg.
