Ben Uzoh gets released by Nuggets

Ben UzohBen Uzoh (191 cm, Tulsa’10) was released today by the Denver Nuggets in order to get their roster down to the league maximum 15 players. Uzoh, has had a rough fall, first signing a deal with Cholet Basket (France-ProA) in August, then getting released by them in September after he didn’t pan out as hoped by head coach Jean-Manuel Sousa. Early in October Uzoh and Anthony Carter were brought on by the Nuggets as their 16th and 17th players on their training camp/pre-season roster, but both were released today to get down the the season roster max. Uzoh was only able to see court time in one game during the the pre-season, scoring two points and three assists. He was signed to a contract at the end of the 2011-12 season by the Nuggets and got in 18 games, averaging 4.5 points per game.
