Ali Traore joins Red Star

Ali Traore

Ali Traore (208 cm) has joined KK Crvena Zvezda (Serbia-A League) for the rest of the 2012-13 season. He was released from Lokomotiv Kuban (Russia-PBL) recently after playing on game in each the Russian PBL and the VTB League. He played with Kuban in 2011-12, averaging 11.8 points and 4.4 rebounds per game over 21 VTB League games and 15.3 points and 7.1 rebounds per game in 13 EuroCup games. His EuroCup totals put him third in both scoring and rebounds in the competition. Traore has been playing professionally since 2000 when it was 15, having first signed with ASVEL Villeurbanne’s cadet squad and moving to their ProA team in 2001. He has also played for the French National U16, U18, and U20 squads, then with the National Team from 2009-12, playing in the World Championships in 2010 and the 2012 London Olympics.

    This transfer makes Red Start officially the main contender for Adriatic League winners! Tough times for Partizan cause only top two Adriatic League teams will play Euroleague next year.
