The 2016/2017 7DAYS EuroCup will go down to a deciding game after Unicaja Malaga tied the finals series with a 79-71 win over Valencia. The win gives Malaga a chance, although Valencia now has home advantage and can claim its fourth 7DAYS EuroCup title. Either way, it all to play for when the all-Spanish finals series resumes next Wednesday.

Unicaja Malaga vs. Valencia Basket, 79-71

Malaga looked in control for long periods of the contest and got the job done early in the game. The hosts dropped 21 points in the first quarter for a 21-16 lead. Malaga continued the momentum with 22 points to secure a 43-34 advantage through the first half. After the long break, Unicaja used the third act to extend to 64-51 and looked in control. Valencia made a fourth quarter rally to make a play for the championship, but the hosts had too many points in the bank.

Jamar Smith led the win with 20 points, while Alen Omic managed a double-double of 12 points and 10 rebounds.

Guillem Vives paced the losing effort with 14 points, followed by Sam Van Rossom and Bojan Dubljevic with 11 points apiece.
